Mahindra Drives Into the Future with 4 New SUV Concepts

The Mahindra SUV concept has broken cover at the Freedom NU event organised by Mahindra this Independence Day. New SUV concept is a more evolved version of the Mahindra Thar which made its global debut few years back. Just like the Thar the Vision T comes in a 5-door layout, and is based on Mahindra’s new Nu IQ platform. Let’s see how this new concept looks

Vision T

The Mahindra Vision.T has a traditional boxy SUV Look, however, it has got new production-spec design elements compared to the Thar E concept. It has a flat bonnet and a new six-slat split grille similar to the one seen on the Thar Roxx, giving it an intimidating look. The squared headlights and split vertical LED DRLs definitely makes it look cool.

Along the profile, the upright stance and boxy design of the Vision.T is very evident. In fact, very similar to the Thar Roxx, especially the black finish in the rear quarter glass section. It gets chunky wheel arches and features massive off Road tyres for off road lovers who loves to drive cars to mountains and rough terrain, all of which enhances its rugged appeal. The rear door handles have been mounted on the C-pillar, as seen on the many cars now a days.

Vision S

The Mahindra Vision S At the front, it gets dual-pod LED headlights and vertical strips for LED DRLs, all of which look very futuristic. Another smart detail that Mahindra has offered in the concept are illuminated light strips to give it a distinct look at night.

Other than this, it gets a rugged all-black bumper with a silver skid plate and pixel-shaped LED fog lamps that make the SUV concept look bold and Catch the youngster who wants cool looking cars.

The tail lights are designed in a similar way to the headlights and are placed in a black hosing to provide added contrast to the overall design. The rear bumper also follows a similar approach and comes with pixel-shaped fog lamps and a silver skid plate which looks cool with the yellow body color.

Vision X

The Vision X looks futuristic and boasts smooth design curves. Up front, it gets muscular contours on the hood, a closed off grille with 6-slat chrome bar and a twin-peak Mahindra logo in the centre, along with sleek LED DRLs. The LED headlights have been placed lower on the bumper. There’s a prominent air dam just below the grille featuring X-pattern, and the bumper also integrates a silver skid plate AT Bottom Front

Along the profile, the Vision X features a thick gloss-black cladding and sits on 19-inch aerodynamically styled alloy wheels. It boasts flush-type door handles, but gets NFC access for all four doors. Its rugged appeal is enhanced by silver-finished side skirts and roof rails. 

At the rear, it sports connected LED tail lights, and there’s a prominent ‘Vision.X’ marque on the tailgate. To give it a sportier look, it also has an extended roof spoiler with LED brake lights, and a chunky blacked-out bumper that integrates a silver skid plate.

Vision SXT

The Vision SXT concept gets pixel-shaped dual-projector headlights, beneath which are the turn indicators, all of which is arranged in a square housing. The bonnet also gets aggressive cuts and creases that make it just looking wow.

Along with this, its go-anywhere character is highlighted by the chunky off-road specific front bumper that features a silver skid plate, all of which makes it look ready to take on the paths that are still undiscovered. Rear Design

The rear design of the pickup concept is also radical like the Vision SXT’s other profiles. The major highlight here are the two off-road spec wheels on the flatbed that make it look ready to go anywhere.

It also gets slim rectangular-shaped LED tail lights that are connected via a thin matte black metal strip that has the ‘Vision SXT’ badge for easier identification of the model. The rear bumper is chunky and features a silver skid plate like the front bumper.
