TATA Punch Gets Smarter with Charging Upgrade and New Shade

    Tata Motors has announced two significant updates for the Punch EV. The carmaker has rejigged the colour palette, and at the same time, introduced a faster charging facility for its smallest electric SUV.

    On the outside, the TATA PUNCH EV benefits from two new paint options, including Supernova Copper and Pure Grey. These are in addition to the previous offerings like Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Fearless Red, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White.

    Coming to the charging update, the Punch EV can now be charged from 10-80 per cent in 40 minutes or return 90kms of run in 15 minutes via a DC fast charger rated at 50kW or above. Notably, this update is exclusive to the Long Range versions.

    The Tata Punch EV gets two battery pack options – 25kWh and 35kWh, of which is the Long Range derivative. These battery packs, paired with a single electric motor, are claimed to return a range of 365km and 265km, respectively.
